Our summer discipleship bible study will be led by Pastor Latu. It begins July 15 and goes until August 19, 10:00am. It will be held in the church’s education room for five weeks on Wednesdays. The bible study will be on the book of Ezra in which the objective of the curriculum is to revisit the importance of our discipleship in Christ as United Methodists. (No class Aug. 12) God Bless you and we hope to see you here! 

Join us on Sunday July 19 at 3pm for our annual ice cream social and band concert by the Capital City Band. Come cool off and enjoy great music at this fun-tastic family event! 

Each year the United Women in Faith celebrate the dedicated teachers and staff at the Douglas County Schools with “Welcome Back to School” homemade cookies. We will need lots of cookies to do this - at least 108 dozen. We are asking everyone who appreciates our teachers and staff to bake cookies, without nuts or frosting. Start early and freeze for August. Cookies should be at the church by noon on August 10th please label for “school”. Packing to be done on August 12th at 1pm. If you would like to deliver cookies, please contact Tamara Brewer or sign up on the list on the UWF bulletin board in the Fellowship Hall.

Time to pamper yourself at the UWF Summer Brunch Event, “Sundresses & Sandals” on August 22 from 10 am. Come for food, fun & Christian fellowship! All women of the church welcome! Signup sheets are located on the UWF Bulletin Board in the Fellowship Hall. Invite your “gal pals” for a cool, summer day to refresh and renew. Heavenly Holiday Faire Craft workshops have officially started... meeting the 1st & 3rd Mondays of the month, 9:30am-noon. Even if you don’t consider yourself “crafty” there is something for everyone to make. Try something new! Supplies are also available if you have projects you want to make at home. If you have questions or new craft ideas, contact Nancy Raymond or Kevin Heckart. 

Please bring your boutique-quality treasures to the church education room on the 3rd Monday of each month between 10 AM and 12 noon.  This is the perfect time to donate any Christmas (and other) items you no longer want! Timeless Treasures isn't a rummage sale.  If you think someone would like receiving an item as a gift, it probably will be perfect for us.  No clothing, please. The CVUMC is hosting a "Resistance Training"/Chair Exercise class.  The class is designed for anyone looking for a modest level class with some light weight options.  Classes meet in our large Fellowship hall space Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 10:00 am. The class is free, but donations are accepted at each class. Come Join Us!
