You need not be a member of CVUMC or any other church to participate in the Alpine Kids’ Ministry. There are monthly family outings as well as monthly teen outings. Cost is $40 per household each year ($5 a month payment accepted). You can enroll anytime during the year, but all renewals are due January of each year.

We need volunteers to set up, sell water and tasting kits, collect booth fees, and pack up Alpine Kids’ stuff when it is over.

The gate opens at 3, the game starts at 4.
Everyone will get a $15 card to purchase food.

Saturday, September 16 - Date Change
Stargazing 2023 at Markleeville Airport. Large telescopes are available for viewing planets and stars.
Arrive between 6–7 p.m.
Because Alpine Kids is purchasing dinner at the Aces’ Game on this date, we will not be purchasing hamburgers at Stargazing.
Bring your flashlight and chair. Flashlights need a red cover over the lens. There are covers available.
Arrive before dark so your car lights do not affect people’s view of the sky.
Saturday, October 14 - Save the Date
Sierra Club’s Inspiring Connections Outdoors Program is hosting Alpine Kids’ families for a hike and deli sandwiches for lunch at Meiss Meadows.
We will meet at the Pacific Crest Trail - Meiss Trailhead, west of Carson Pass at 10:30 a.m.
Signups are required by September 15th.
Sierra Club’s Shanna Mae has the signup and release forms. Contact her (775)790-3599. Sierra Club has hiking equipment to lend, but they need to know what you need. Boots, Walking Pools, Wool Sox, etc.

Movie and Brunch (popcorn, hot dogs, and nachos) at the Methodist Church.

Christmas Caroling 6 – 8 p.m. at the Methodist Church.
Dinner will be soup and salad bar.
Everyone is welcome.
You can even have your picture taken with Santa Claus. All children will receive a new
book.

Chinese New Year celebration from 2 – 6 p.m. at the Church.
It will be The Year of the Dragon.
Everyone is welcome.
Last year we celebrated the Year of the Rabbit. It was a lot of fun for everyone who came.
This is a potluck.
There will be fun and games including Bingo.
You are welcome to volunteer.
